Being the insurance agent of record on this policy, I was initially skeptical on hiring a public adjuster. I realized very quickly though that it would be best to have someone watching our interests through the process…We could have easily suffered additional losses had it not been for the timely settlement you negotiated with our insurance company. Thanks to your experience, skill, diligence and company’s reputation we were able to recover our policy limits from the insurance company. Given the co-insurance limitations in our policy, this amount far exceeded what we could have recovered on our own. This is not to mention the amount of time, effort and distraction from our own insurance agency business it would have taken us to recover any of the monies. We consider the fee of almost $62,000 that we paid for your services to be very reasonable.

I wanted to extend my appreciation, and that of Mrs. Eunice Kennedy Shriver, for your assistance in her recent fire loss insurance claim…Looking back on it, I can see that the first few weeks after a fire presents a stream of issues and decisions that no one should face without someone of your talents and expertise at their side. The subsequent work you performed in bringing in the engineers, contractors and appraisers required to begin processing the claim with the insurer, Chubb, was equally invaluable and saved me countless hours. Your initial statement that a speedy claims process was the only way you would pursue the job and your later recommendation to reject Chubb's original settlement offers…further demonstrated your expertise. I am also happy to say that it also yielded additional insurance proceeds that would not have been obtained if we had attempted to do this work on our own or with another firm. To sum up, your knowledge of Chubb's procedures and how best to approach them was invaluable.

In the end, you were able to double the offer Farmers made and I got all of the funds I needed to get my property looking great again. There is no way I could have done this on my own.

As you know, I started negotiating with their adjuster on my own after the loss occurred. That was perhaps the worst business decision I have ever made. I finally realized that I needed representation by someone who was an expert in insurance losses. By the time I engaged your services MSI had already had their own consulting engineer look at the building and had recommended a repair plan that was totally unacceptable. It took Adjusters International to undo that plan and negotiate the settlement to which we agreed. Based upon the offer to settle made by MSI before Adjusters International intervened and the one we finally accepted, the final settlement was nearly three times the original offer. Or to put it another way, I received an additional sum of money that was twelve times more than the fees Adjusters International charged me. That was a good investment!

You and your team have provided invaluable assistance in the College's recovery efforts in response to Tropical Storm Allison in 2001. Your knowledge of the often complex FEMA process, coupled with your insurance industry experience, have been of enormous benefit to us.
